Volos: 36-year-old woman murdered – Manhunt for the perpetrator

The local community of Volos is in shock after the murder of a 36-year-old woman by her 40-year-old husband. Police have launched a manhunt to arrest the perpetrator.

The tragic incident occurred on Friday morning. According to police, the couple's 16-year-old daughter called the police at 10:52, reporting that her father had stabbed her mother. Police found the woman's body at the entrance of the apartment building with wounds to her neck and ribs.

The 16-year-old allegedly said: "I saw dad stabbing mom with a knife." It was revealed that the 40-year-old was jealous of his wife.

According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), there was no history of domestic violence, but the perpetrator had a history with the authorities for participating in a criminal organization and drug law violations. He had also been taken for a psychiatric examination in June 2025.

ELAS announced that the 36-year-old foreign woman was found fatally injured at the entrance of an apartment building in Volos, and her 40-year-old husband is wanted. The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Volos Sub-Directorate of Crime Prosecution and Investigation.
