Volos: Mother Remanded in Custody for Sexual Exploitation of Minor Daughter

A 52-year-old mother in Volos has been remanded in custody, accused of sexually abusing her minor daughter, child pornography, and incest. The decision to remand her was made after the agreement of an investigator and prosecutor.

The case came to light after the arrest of a 32-year-old for child pornography, who was in possession of material of the defendant's 11-year-old daughter. The mother allegedly received money for the distribution of the material.

During her apology, the 52-year-old stated that she was remorseful and cited financial problems. The minor is being hosted in a hospital in Volos and is expected to be transferred to a social structure.

The charges against the mother concern the production and distribution of child pornography material, sexual act with a minor under 12 years of age and incest, felonies that are severely punished by law.
