Vorizia: Shocking Testimony of Bloody Clash

A woman described the dramatic moments she experienced in Vorizia, Crete, when her car was caught in the middle of crossfire. She and her husband miraculously survived.

The couple from Athens were in Crete for a wedding and found themselves accidentally at the center of the clash. The witness reported seeing Evangelia Fragkiadaki fall to the ground in front of them.

"We went for coffee in Vorizia and found ourselves in the middle of crossfire. I saw a woman collapse to the ground. It was Evangelia," the witness stated.

The couple managed to get away, but their car was hit by bullets. Despite the shock, they called the police, who arrived after three hours due to the ongoing situation.

"We can't sleep. The sounds of gunfire wake us up every night," added the witness, describing the aftermath of the traumatic event.

A security camera recorded Fanouris Kargakis leaving his house before the clash, as well as a gray jeep trying to escape with a flat tire.
