Vorizia: Weapon Search Continues – 9 Arrests Made

Police investigations continue in Vorizia, Heraklion, following the bloody incident. Despite extensive searches of houses and livestock pens, the heavy weaponry used remains missing.
So far, 9 people have been arrested and 17 have been taken into custody. The investigations are being conducted by the Heraklion Sub-Directorate for the Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes, in cooperation with D.A.O.E. and the Phaistos Police Department.
Two of those arrested, aged 25 and 30, have been remanded in custody. As part of the investigation, 27 searches have been carried out on homes and 21 on livestock pens and other areas.
During the searches, weapons and ammunition were found and confiscated, which have been sent for laboratory examination. The investigations are continuing at an intensive pace.
