Vorizia: Bomber Identified – Investigations at Alikarnassos Prison

Police have reportedly identified the person who planted the bomb at the Fragiadakis family's house in Vorizia, as well as the bomb's manufacturer. According to reports, the bombing was organized inside Alikarnassos Prison.

Three members of the Kargakis family, who are inmates at Alikarnassos Prison, were taken to the Heraklion Police Directorate to provide explanations regarding the case. Investigations are focused on identifying the perpetrator who planted the bomb, who appears to be a member of the Kargakis family.

Regarding the bomb's manufacturer, investigations are focused on members of another family from a neighboring village, who have been accused of similar attacks in the past. A member of this family is also incarcerated in Alikarnassos Prison, where they reportedly came into contact with members of the Kargakis family for the bomb's construction.

A few days after the attack, police raided the cells of the Kargakis family members in Alikarnassos Prison. Among them were the brother of the 39-year-old Fanouris, his son-in-law, and his nephew. Fanouris Kargakis had visited these three individuals in prison a few hours before the attack.

During the searches that followed in the inmates' cells, knives and mobile phones were found.
