Chalandri: 28-year-old to face prosecutor for femicide

A 28-year-old man is to be led before the prosecutor today facing heavy charges for the murder of a 47-year-old woman in Chalandri. The crime occurred outside the woman's apartment building on Stratigou Roumpesi Street.

The perpetrator confessed to the act, claiming that the victim was responsible for the murder. According to his statement, the woman slandered him, causing his friends to distance themselves. The perpetrator and victim met at a soup kitchen in January. The 28-year-old claimed they had sexual encounters, which is not confirmed.

The perpetrator claimed he was waiting for the 47-year-old to resolve their differences, but he "blurred" when she started shouting. He added that he was angry because she had "shamed" him to his friends and reported him to the police for harassment. The 47-year-old had reported the 28-year-old to the police in March for harassment at the soup kitchen.

Witnesses reported seeing the perpetrator and victim talking before the murder. The murder weapon was found in the perpetrator's possession.
