Chalkidiki: Human remains found in bags

Human remains were discovered inside bags in a rural area of Pefkochori, Chalkidiki, on Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, forestry workers working in the area discovered the bags at approximately 18:30. The president of Pefkochori, Giorgos Tsikouridis, notified the authorities, stating that the workers saw a bag and a suitcase with blankets bearing blood stains. A hand protruding from the bag, with a ring, led to the identification of the body.

Police forces have cordoned off the area, and a coroner is expected to arrive to investigate the case.
