Halkidiki: Jewelry Store Robbery by the 'Pink Panthers'

Investigations are underway into the robbery of a jewelry store in Halkidiki, perpetrated by members of the notorious criminal organization 'Pink Panthers'. The robbery took place in September, with the loot estimated at €580,000.
Following an investigation by the Organized Crime Unit of Northern Greece, two Serbian nationals, aged 48 and 46, were identified and arrested in Bulgaria and Croatia, respectively, based on European Arrest Warrants.
According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), four members of the organization participated in the robbery, entering Greece with forged travel documents and using stolen license plates on rented vehicles. Prior to the robbery, they had conducted repeated reconnaissance of the area.
During the robbery, the 48-year-old and an accomplice immobilized two employees at gunpoint, stealing jewelry and watches worth €579,805.75. The 46-year-old and a female accomplice played a supporting role, posing as customers.
The 48-year-old has a criminal record in Switzerland for burglaries. Authorities are investigating their involvement in similar robberies in other European countries.
