Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been sentenced to a 15-month suspended prison sentence by a court in Syros, Greece, on three charges related to a brawl in Mykonos in August 2020.

Maguire was initially convicted in 2020 and sentenced to 21 months and 10 days suspended imprisonment for aggravated assault, attempted bribery, violence against public employees, and insult. His legal team's appeal overturned the conviction, leading to a retrial.

The retrial was postponed four times before resuming on March 4 in Syros, where the court found him guilty of non-serious assault, resisting arrest, and attempted bribery. His sentence was reduced to 15 months.

Sources report that Maguire denies any wrongdoing and plans to appeal to the Supreme Court. The 32-year-old is in Manchester United's squad for the Premier League match against Newcastle United.
