Crete: Fatal pedestrian accident in Hersonissos – Video

A fatal traffic accident occurred in Hersonissos, Crete, where a van fatally hit a pedestrian. The incident happened shortly after 5:00 PM.

According to neakriti.gr, the van was moving from Malia towards Hersonissos when the driver tried to avoid a man crossing the road. In his attempt, the vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a motorcycle.

Unfortunately, despite the attempt to avoid him, the van hit the pedestrian, fatally injuring him. An ambulance from EKAV rushed to the scene. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the traffic police.
