Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni visited the Kasta Tomb in Amphipolis, marking the start of the final phase of restoration works. The aim is to make the monument accessible to all by the end of 2027.

The works include the restoration of part of the enclosure, the formation of the perimeter, the protection of the burial chamber's trench, and the reinstallation of the marble door. The door's reinstallation restores the historical image of the monument.

Simultaneously, the construction of a museum and exhibition space, as well as public service infrastructure, is beginning. The reception building will be underground, with the exhibition space connected to the routes around the monument. The budget exceeds 10,000,000 euros and is funded by the ESPA 2021-2027 and national resources.
