Athens Carnival: Parade and Clean Monday Celebrations 2026

The Municipality of Athens is organizing a two-day event for the Athens Carnival. On Sunday, February 22, 2026, a carnival parade will take place in the center of Athens, starting from Syntagma Square and ending at Kotzia Square. The parade will feature musical groups, dance teams, and stilt walkers.

On Clean Monday, February 23, 2026, the Koulouma will be celebrated on Philopappos Hill with traditional music, Lenten delicacies, and kite flying.

The Mayor of Athens, Charis Doukas, invites citizens to participate in the festive events.
