Evangelos Venizelos: Honorary Doctorate from University of Nicosia Law School

The University of Nicosia Law School will award an Honorary Doctorate to Evangelos Venizelos, a distinguished Constitutional Law expert, on June 27, 2025.

The ceremony will take place at the Open Amphitheater of the University of Nicosia at 20:00.

Professor Venizelos has excelled in academia, politics, and public administration, contributing to both Greek and Cypriot constitutional law.

Born in Thessaloniki in 1957, Ev. Venizelos studied Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Paris (Paris II). He was awarded a Doctorate in Law in 1980.

He has served as a Member of Parliament for PASOK and has held various ministerial positions, including the Ministries of National Defence and Foreign Affairs.

In 2015, Ev. Venizelos founded the think tank 'Circle of Ideas'.
