Chios Festival 2025: Culture, Art, and Tradition

The Chios Festival returns in 2025, from August 25th to September 7th, with a program full of events that combine tradition, art, and culture. The North Aegean Region welcomes the institution for the fourth consecutive year, which will host prominent figures from the fields of Letters, Arts, Science, and Entrepreneurship.
The festival begins at the archaeological site of Emporios (25/08) with talks on archeology and the memory of the place. At Nea Moni (27/08), aspects of the Byzantine tradition will be highlighted, while at Castelli (29/8) political and cultural issues will be raised. At the Castle of Chios (31/8), the opening of an art exhibition will take place.
At the Mastic Research Center (04/09), the conference "Looking to the Future: Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Culture" will be held. At the Homeric Cultural Center (05/09), the film "I Exist" will be screened, followed by a discussion with the creators. At Petrokaravo Vrontados (06/09), the Ballet of the Greek National Opera will present the dance diptych “Return of the summer”. The curtain will fall in the central square of Anavatos (07/09) with Karyofyllia Karabeti in the one-act melodrama "Medea".
