“The Lady of Ro” by Giannis Skaragas, starring Fotini Baxevani

The performance “The Lady of Ro”, based on the book by Giannis Skaragas and inspired by the life of Despoina Achladioti, continues to move audiences both at home and abroad.

Despoina Achladioti, known as the Lady of Ro, lived alone on the small island of Ro from the Second World War. After the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, she became a heroic figure.

Fotini Baxevani is accompanied by: Director/Set Design/Costumes: Stavros Litinas, Music/Sound Design: Fotini Baxevani. The songs of the show are performed by Violeta Ikari.

The show has been presented in Cyprus, the USA, Australia and Germany. In 2020, it received an official invitation from the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA in Los Angeles.
