Cate Blanchett: Filming New Movie in Mani, Greece

Cate Blanchett is in Greece for the filming of her new movie, «Sweetsick», in the Mani region.

The Oscar-winning actress met with the mayor of West Mani, Dimitrios Giannimaras. Filming will take place in various locations, including the Kardamyli Kindergarten and the Trachila Cultural Center.

Filming officially begins on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from the settlement of Petrovouni and will continue in Trachila and Agios Dimitrios. The film, written and directed by Alice Birch, tells the story of a woman with the ability to see people's needs.

Messinia will serve as the natural backdrop for the film.
