Sturgeon Moon: Impressive images from Greece

The August full moon, also known as the Sturgeon Moon, impressed those who observed it in the sky. Many watched it from archaeological sites and museums that remained open.
The phenomenon is rare, as the Moon is visible at its rising for two consecutive nights. The full moon peaked at 3:55 a.m. (Eastern Time USA) on Saturday, August 9. The ideal time for observation is immediately after sunset.
Its name comes from the traditions of the Native Americans, as sturgeons are at their best for fishing in the rivers during this time.
