Cyprus Memories Flood Hydra Port with Alkinoos Ioannidis Concert

The Municipality of Hydra commemorated the 51st anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus with a special memorial event. On July 20th, approximately 1000 people gathered at the port of Hydra to attend a concert by Alkinoos Ioannidis, dedicated to Cyprus and the memories of the black summer of 1974.

The Mayor of Hydra, Georgios Koukoudakis, emphasized the importance of preserving the memory and highlighting the Cyprus issue. As he mentioned, the Municipality of Hydra has been organizing events for Cyprus every year since 2015.

In addition to the concert, a scientific lecture was also held by Professor Christos Ziogas on the prospects for resolving the Cyprus issue.

The public response was great, with many Cypriots who were on the island for vacation attending the events.
