Standing Ovation for Houvardas' "Oedipus" at Epidaurus

The audience at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus gave a five-minute standing ovation to Yannis Houvardas' "Oedipus", a co-production of the Athens Epidaurus Festival and the «Lykofos» Cultural Organization.

The performance, which combines Sophocles' "Oedipus Rex" and "Oedipus at Colonus", was successfully presented and delighted the audience.

The cast included Nikos Karathanos, Karyofyllia Karabeti, Stefania Goulioti, Nikos Chatzopoulos, and Orestis Chalkias.

Those who missed it in Epidaurus will have the opportunity to see it at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus on September 13, as well as in other cities in Greece.
