Thousands of Faithful at Panagia of Tinos for Dormition of the Theotokos

Tinos became the epicenter of the celebrations for the Dormition of the Theotokos, attracting thousands of faithful from all over Greece.

Emotions ran high during the raising of the flag by a detachment of the Navy, to the sounds of the National Anthem. Faithful climb on their knees towards the Holy Church of Panagia Evangelistria, fulfilling vows.

Additionally, memorial events will be held for the torpedoing of the cruiser 'Elli'.
