Contract Signed for Athens Conservatory Surroundings Renovation

A contract has been signed for the renovation project of the surroundings of the Athens Conservatory, with a budget exceeding 3 million euros. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Attica Regional Program 2021–2027.
At the signing ceremony, the Regional Governor of Attica, Nikos Hardalias, stated that the Athens Conservatory will become a cultural reference point for Athens and the Attica basin. The Chairman of the Board of the Athens Conservatory, Nikos Tsouchlos, thanked the Attica Region for its contribution to the completion of the facilities.
The renovation is expected to be completed within 18 months and includes interventions to address chaotic parking, environmental upgrades with tree planting, and the creation of a model urban recreation area. Entrance corridors, a pedestrian walkway connecting the Conservatory with the Byzantine Museum and Aristotle's Lyceum, and an event space will be created.
The Attica Region has already allocated 8 million euros for the renovation of the Conservatory's facilities and the digitization of its archive. All projects will ensure full accessibility for people with disabilities.
