AAΔΕ: Cash Declaration to be Submitted Digitally Starting Friday

Starting Friday, cash declarations must be submitted digitally through a new application by AAΔΕ.

The application will be available at all customs offices and the country's 42 entry-exit points, replacing the manual process. A computer will be available at these points, and customs officials will provide assistance.

The digital process facilitates the entry and exit of travelers carrying legal cash and enhances the effectiveness of controls.

Digitization allows for timely intervention, ensures transparency, and upgrades the role of customs services in combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

In 2024, 4,866 cash declarations were submitted in Greece.
