EFKA: Retroactive payments to 1,015 pensioners today

EFKA is making retroactive payments to 1,015 pensioners today, Friday (6/3), totaling over 2 million euros.
Of the beneficiaries, 985 are living, while in 30 cases the amounts will be paid to beneficiaries based on inheritance rights.
The beneficiaries mainly come from the former funds: Social Insurance Institute (IKA) and the Pension Fund of the National Bank of Greece Personnel (TSP-ETE).
The retroactive payments resulted from corrections of insurance data and recalculation of the main pension surcharge, as part of e-EFKA's efforts to ensure the accuracy and legality of pensions.
The total expenditure amounts to 2,185,686.43 euros, of which 2,040,331.56 euros relate to living pensioners and 145,354.87 euros to hereditary amounts.
