Greece Seeks Exemption from Trump Tariffs on Key Products

Greece is seeking an exemption for Greek products, including olive oil, feta cheese, yogurt, and wine, from US tariffs. Greek exports to the US amounted to €2.4 billion last year, while US imports totaled €2.16 billion.
Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, stated that the agreement prevents a trade war, but Greece would prefer a lower tariff rate.
The State Budget Office has prepared a study on the impact of US tariffs and proposes supporting export sectors and redirecting exports to new markets.
