ELSTAT: Increased exports, decreased imports in September

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announced that in September 2025, the trade deficit recorded a double-digit percentage decrease, reaching €2.67 billion. Exports increased by 4%, while imports decreased by 3.6%.

At the nine-month level, the trade deficit decreased by 3.3% to €24.41 billion. Imports decreased by 4.1% and exports by 4.7%.

The total value of imports in September 2025 amounted to €6,921.4 million, compared to €7,178.1 million in September 2024, showing a decrease of 3.6%. The value of imports excluding petroleum products increased by 3.5%, while excluding petroleum products and ships, it increased by 3.8%.
