INSETE: Greece in Top 5 Choices for Western European Travelers

According to a study by INSETE, Greece remains a top choice for Western European travelers for the next 12 months. The study, conducted in January 2026, examines Greece's attractiveness as a tourist destination compared to other Mediterranean destinations.

Greece ranks 3rd in the preferences of travelers from Germany and Italy, 4th from France and the United Kingdom, and 6th from Spain. It is noted that Greece has risen one position in the UK market compared to 2024.

The markets examined (Germany, France, United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy) account for almost half of the total revenue from inbound tourism to Greece, according to data from the Bank of Greece for the period 2023-2024.
