Kikilias: New Bill for Maritime Education

The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Vassilis Kikilias, announced the ministry's intention to promote a new bill for maritime education in the fall. The aim is to support the new generation of seafarers and upgrade the sector.

Mr. Kikilias emphasized that the bill will focus on improving educational structures, simplifying procedures, reducing bureaucracy, and creating a flexible study framework.

In a post, the minister stated that Greek shipping is a solution for those seeking employment with good pay and prospects, underlining the government's support for young seafarers from the beginning of their studies until their first day of work.
