More than 10,000 hotels across Europe have registered on www.mybookingclaim.com to claim compensation from Booking.com, according to the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (ΞΕΕ).

The registration deadline is extended to August 29, 2025, due to increasing interest. The collective action, supported by HOTREC and over 30 national hotel associations, aims to recover damages caused by parity clauses, which were deemed illegal by the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) on September 19, 2024 (Case C-264/23).

The action is coordinated by the Hotel Claims Alliance Foundation and supported by an international team of legal and financial experts. Participation is free due to the funding of legal costs.

HOTREC President Alexandros Vassilikos stated that hoteliers have endured unfair conditions for years and that this initiative sends a message against abusive practices in the digital market. Marie Audren, Director General of HOTREC, emphasized the wide acceptance of the collective action and the importance of extending the registration deadline.
