Electricity Bills: New Pricing Policies and Changes

New pricing policies are expected in electricity bills from RAE in September, aiming to enhance the role of the consumer and provide more choices.
Providers now offer different packages, including blue (fixed), gray, burgundy, and light blue tariffs, combining fixed charges and consumption-based discounts. These changes allow consumers to choose the tariff that best suits their needs.
In addition, energy companies are now financing energy upgrade works for buildings, such as insulation, frames, and photovoltaics, with repayment made through electricity bills.
Fixed (blue) tariffs are gaining ground, with 1.3 million consumers already choosing them, and are expected to reach 2 million next year. This shift creates new data in the market, leading to a possible concentration of providers.
The most innovative element is the participation of electricity companies in energy saving programs, financing energy upgrades and collecting the consideration through customer bills.
