OPEKEPE: Farmers and livestock breeders in nationwide rally

Farmers and livestock breeders are escalating their mobilizations due to the scandal at OPEKEPE, payment delays, and sheep and goat pox. They have planned a nationwide rally in Athens on November 11th.
Specifically, on Tuesday, November 11th at 12:00, they will hold a gathering at the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, with the participation of agricultural cooperatives, associations, federations, producers, and livestock breeders from all over Greece. A protest at OPEKEPE will follow.
The farmers' demands include the immediate resolution of problems with payment and compensation delays, as well as addressing the state of emergency in livestock farming due to sheep and goat pox.
The decision for the rally was taken at a teleconference of the National Union of Agricultural Cooperatives (ETHEAS) on October 23rd.
