Tax Deadline Extension Due to Accountant's Illness

A new Joint Ministerial Decision (Α.1065/2025) provides facilitations for submitting tax and insurance declarations in case of an accountant's illness, childbirth, or death. The regulation covers declarations with a submission deadline from 10/4/2023 onwards.

Conditions for the extension:

  • Accountant's hospitalization for at least three days or death.
  • The accountant must be authorized by the client through the myAADE portal.

Extension duration:

  • In case of hospitalization up to 30 days: extension until the end of the next month from the date of discharge.
  • In case of hospitalization over 30 days: extension until the end of the next month from the completion of 30 days of hospitalization.
  • In case of death: extension until the end of the month after the next from the death.

Submission of declarations: Declarations are submitted digitally via myAADE, by post, in person, or via e-mail/magnetic media.

Cancellation of fines: Any fines imposed for declarations submitted from 10/4/2023 and falling under the provisions of Law 5042/2023 are canceled, and the amounts are refunded.
