Athens Stock Exchange Falls, Holds Above 2,000 Points

The Athens Stock Exchange came under pressure, closing at its lowest level since early August, although it managed to stay above 2,000 points. The General Index fell by 1.45%, closing at 2,001.86 points.
The pressures extended to all sectors, with banks being no exception. Daily trading activity was just over 180 million euros.
Regarding corporate results, OPAP, Quest, and Trade Estates will announce their financial performance on Wednesday (September 3), while Aktor and Ideal Holdings will follow on Thursday (September 4).
In international markets, European and Asian stock exchanges moved downwards, while Wall Street started negatively after the Labor Day holiday in the USA.
