Athens Stock Exchange Falls Amid French Concerns

The Athens Stock Exchange fell, with the General Index dropping below 2,100 points, due to concerns triggered by the political situation in France. The General Index closed at 2,076.57 points, down 1.87%.

Bank stocks saw significant losses, with the banking index falling by 2.67%. Alpha Bank's stock recorded the largest drop (-6.32%).

Credia Bank (+2.52%), Space Hellas (+2.33%), and MIG (+1.52%) shares moved upward. Conversely, EΛΛΑΚΤΩΡ (-2.97%), Jumbo (-2.02%), and ΔΕΗ (-1.91%) shares moved downward.

In financial news, Υφαντής acquired ΝΙΚΑΣ, while Παπαστράτος announced an increase in its turnover. Additionally, the EIB signed a financing agreement with ΕΥΔΑΠ.
