Thessaloniki: Champion among 14 regional airports in August

Thessaloniki emerged as the 'champion' among the 14 regional airports in August, recording a +10% increase in international traffic.

Overall, traffic at the 14 regional airports exceeded 26.3 million travelers (+2.6%) for the eight-month period of 2025 and 6.79 million (+4%) for August alone.

The 'Macedonia' airport recorded an 11.7% increase in international passenger traffic in August, the highest among the 14 airports managed by Fraport Greece. Total passenger traffic at 'Macedonia' amounted to 5.28 million travelers (+7.6%) in the January-August period, with 3.62 million relating to international traffic, marking a 9.6% increase compared to 2024.
