The Bank of Greece (ΤτΕ) forecasts steady growth of the Greek economy at 2.1% annually for the period 2025-2027. According to the Bank of Greece, growth will be mainly driven by private consumption, investment and increased exports, boosted by European funds.

At the same time, inflation is expected to gradually decline to 2.1% in the period 2026-2027. Fiscal policy is expected to be expansionary, due to increased investment through the Recovery and Resilience Facility.

Economic activity continued to expand in the third quarter of 2025, with an increase of 2.0% year-on-year. Positive developments are also seen in the labor market, with increased employment and reduced unemployment.

The state's primary fiscal result in 2025 exceeded the budget, with a surplus of 3.2% of GDP. The debt-to-GDP ratio fell to 148% in the third quarter of 2025.
