TUI Seeks to Extend Greek Tourist Season Through November

German group TUI AG is in talks with Greek hoteliers to extend the tourist season until the end of November, and even January in some cases. Demand for travel to Greece remains high throughout the autumn.
TUI AG CEO Sebastian Ebel stated that they are planning more offers for the period after the peak summer season, seeking to keep hotels open for a longer period in Greece and Turkey. The goal is also to boost city break travel, with Athens remaining a popular destination.
TUI is revising its estimates upwards for the full year, forecasting a larger increase in revenue and higher operating profitability. Particular emphasis is placed on dynamic holiday packages.
European Travel Commission President Miguel Sanz confirms the trend of Europeans preferring quieter destinations and off-peak travel.
