Agrinio: Fire on Ionia Odos near Gouriotissa

A fire broke out on the Ionia Odos highway near Gouriotissa in the municipality of Agrinio, causing traffic disruption towards Athens. According to initial reports, the fire started from a burst truck tire and spread to adjacent fields.

Strong firefighting forces are operating at the scene, and water drops are being carried out by aircraft. Traffic is being diverted via the old national road.

Other incidents include the arrest of a 46-year-old for attacking a 38-year-old with corrosive liquid, the discovery of half a ton of narcotics at "El. Venizelos" airport, and an attempted rape of a minor in Pyrgos.
