Ferry Route Spetses-Hydra-Piraeus Canceled Due to Technical Issue

Technical issues on the passenger ferry FLYING CAT 4 caused the cancellation of the afternoon route from Spetses (19:25) to Hydra and Piraeus. Hundreds of passengers were forced to remain in the ports.

Passengers were informed via announcement on their mobile phones and were asked to contact travel agencies to modify their tickets.

The cancellation of the route coincided with increased traffic in the ports due to the August holidaymakers' exodus. Yesterday, Saturday, almost 120,000 passengers traveled from the country's ports, while today, Sunday, 36,421 passengers departed from Piraeus for the Aegean islands, Crete, and the Dodecanese.
