Argostoli: Autonomous Access System for Disabled People at Platis Gialos Beach

The Municipality of Argostoli has completed the installation of an autonomous access system for disabled people at Platis Gialos beach, one of the most popular beaches in Kefalonia.
The system, acquired with funds from the Municipality, aims to promote accessibility and equal access to the sea for people with mobility difficulties. It provides autonomous access from the shore to the sea via special rails and a seat, allowing users to enjoy swimming safely and comfortably.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the Municipality of Argostoli to creating an inclusive environment, offering equal opportunities to enjoy the sea to all residents and visitors.
Equal access to the sea is a matter of respect and social justice, and the State must establish a stable funding framework to support such initiatives.
