Unstable Weather: Warning for Storms in Mainland Greece

Unstable weather is expected in Greece today, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, with warnings for strong storms in the mainland. According to the National Observatory of Athens / Meteo.gr, local rains or storms are initially expected in Central Macedonia, which will gradually affect other areas.
Strong phenomena are expected in Western Macedonia, Epirus, Central Greece, Northeastern Peloponnese, and Western Thessaly, mainly during noon and afternoon hours. Caution is advised for outdoor activities due to intense electrical activity.
In Attica, temporary clouds are expected with possible local rains in the afternoon. In Thessaloniki, temporary clouds with local rains and sporadic storms are expected, mainly in the morning and at noon.
Winds will blow from northerly directions, up to 5 Beaufort in the seas. The temperature will drop slightly, reaching 30 to 34 degrees Celsius, and locally in Thrace and the eastern Aegean 35 to 36 degrees Celsius.
From Wednesday evening, a gradual strengthening of the northerly winds in the Aegean is expected, which from Thursday and at least until Saturday is expected to reach 7 to 8 Beaufort.
