August Exodus: Holidaymakers Depart from Piraeus

A major exodus of holidaymakers is underway from the port of Piraeus, with ships reaching almost 100% capacity. The Cyclades, particularly Paros, Santorini, and Naxos, are the most popular destinations.

Increased traffic is also observed at the Attica KTEL bus stations, while traffic problems are reported on the Athens-Corinth highway and in the Skaramangas area.

Port authorities are on alert for the August holiday exodus, with increased security measures.
