Ferries to Crete grounded, Piraeus routes canceled

Due to gale-force winds in the Aegean Sea, ferry routes to Crete are canceled. According to a Port Authority announcement, the evening routes from the port of Piraeus to Crete will not operate.

A sailing ban is also in effect from the ports of Lavrio and Rafina.

Routes from Volos to the Sporades are suspended, as well as on the Kavala - Prinos line. The Rio - Antirrio line also remains closed.

Passengers are advised to contact local port authorities and travel agencies for updates.
