Three migrant rescue operations took place in Gavdos, Kaloi Limenes, and Thera, coordinated by the Joint Search and Rescue Coordination Center (EKSED).

In the sea area southeast of Gavdos, a Portuguese-flagged cargo ship spotted 35 foreigners on a boat. They were subsequently picked up by a FRONTEX vessel and transported to Paleochora.

In Kaloi Limenes, Coast Guard officials found 29 foreigners on a beach. The migrants stated they had departed from Tobruk, Libya, paying up to 4,800 Sudanese pounds or 15,000 Libyan pounds. A 28-year-old Sudanese national was arrested as a smuggler.

In the sea area south of Thera, 55 migrants were located on a sailboat. A Coast Guard vessel and a tanker participated in the rescue. The migrants are being transported to Heraklion.
