Metsovo Liberation Celebrations with President K. Tasoulas

Three-day commemorative events were held in Metsovo to celebrate its liberation from Turkish rule. The President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas, attended the events.
The events included a doxology at the Agia Paraskevi Church, a memorial service at the Equestrian monument in memory of those who fell during the 1940 epic, a wreath-laying ceremony, and a parade.
Members of Parliament from Ioannina Maria - Alexandra Stefanou Kefala, Giorgos Amyras, and Ioannis Tsimaris, the Regional Governor of Epirus Alexandros Kahrimanis, the Mayor of Metsovo Maria - Christina Averoff, the Metropolitan of Ioannina Maximos, former minister Charalampos Lalousis, and other officials were present.
The events took place on November 2nd, with the presence of Deputy Minister of National Defence Thanasis Davakis and the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis.
