Asprovalta Explosion: Five Tourists Injured in Rental Rooms

A gas cylinder explosion occurred in rental rooms in Asprovalta, Thessaloniki, resulting in injuries to five tourists from Serbia. One of them is in serious condition.

The accident happened around 15:00 under unclear circumstances. EKAV forces immediately arrived at the scene. Two of the injured, a man with 1st and 2nd degree burns (40%) and a woman with 1st degree burns (20%), were transferred to the General Hospital of Thessaloniki "Georgios Papanikolaou".

The 86-year-old owner of the rooms was arrested, while the authorities are investigating the causes of the explosion.
