October 28th Holiday: Increased Traffic and Delays on Attiki Odos

Increased traffic is reported on Attica's roads due to the October 28th holiday exodus. On Attiki Odos, delays of 15 to 20 minutes are recorded at the exits to Lamia, in both directions.

Problems are also reported on Athens Avenue, from Haidari to Skaramangas, and on Kifissos Avenue, northbound from the Ktel bus station to Nea Filadelfeia.

The Ministry of Transport and the Traffic Police are appealing to drivers to be careful, as 14 people lost their lives on the roads last year during the October 28th long weekend. Enhanced traffic measures have been implemented, with increased patrols and controls.

The weather is expected to be good, with spring-like temperatures, facilitating travel.
