€1 Million Boost for Road Safety in Crete

The Region of Crete will allocate €1 million to procure modern equipment for the Traffic Police services of the Hellenic Police.

The Regional Governor of Crete, Stavros Arnaoutakis, signed the relevant act at the Police Headquarters of Chania, in the presence of the General Regional Police Director of Crete, Major General Nikos Spyridakis.

The funding comes from the Regional Program "Crete 2021-2027" and aims to enhance road safety and protect human life on the island.

The equipment includes motorcycles, SUV 4x4 vehicles, specially constructed surveillance vehicles, and technological equipment for the police, as well as equipment for educational use in prevention activities.

Stavros Arnaoutakis stated that road safety is a priority for the Region of Crete, while Nikos Spyridakis expressed his gratitude for the constant support.
