A significant rise in temperature is expected in the coming days, peaking on Friday, according to meteorologists. Heatwave conditions will prevail mainly in continental areas, with temperatures reaching up to 40 to 41 degrees Celsius in traditionally hot regions.

Theodoros Kolydas points out the start of a three-day heat wave, culminating on Friday.

Giorgos Tsatrafyllias warns of a "devil-week" with a very high risk of fires. As he mentions, after the heatwave (Wednesday-Friday), gale-force northerly winds will follow (Saturday-Sunday).

The areas that will be most affected by the heatwave, according to Giorgos Tsatrafyllias, are Thessaly, Kilkis, Serres, Peloponnese, Boeotia, Aetolia-Acarnania, and Attica.

Giannis Kallianos mentions that from Wednesday, June 25, hot air masses from North Africa will cover the entire Mediterranean, leading to a heatwave that will last 3-4 days. In Attica, the temperature on Friday will reach 39-40°C, while in Larissa it will reach 41-42°C.

Sunshine is expected in Attica, with the temperature in the center of Athens ranging from 23 to 35 degrees Celsius.
