Evia: Volunteer Firefighter Injured During Fire Suppression

A volunteer firefighter was injured in the leg during a fire extinguishing operation in Kolovrehti, Evia, on the afternoon of Saturday, August 2nd.

The injury occurred while the volunteer was trying to put out the fire. He was immediately transported by ambulance to the general hospital of Chalkida.

The fire broke out in two simultaneous outbreaks in dry grass in the Kolovrehti area of the Municipality of Dirfyon Messapion. Authorities are investigating the possibility of arson.

The fire has been brought under control.
