Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis faced strong protests during his visit to the General University Hospital of Alexandroupoli (ΠΓΝΑ). Hospital workers protested against shortages and problems they face, chanting slogans and holding banners.

Representatives of doctors and nurses expressed concerns about the hospital's deficiencies. Protesters chanted slogans such as: "He is not a Minister of Health, but of commerce and profiteering."

Upon his arrival, members of the Union of Hospital Doctors and Health Centers of Thrace (ΕΙΝΟΚΥΘ) raised issues regarding the lack of ambulances. The minister responded to claims about the percentage of auxiliary staff, with an exchange of data between the two sides.

Despite the tension, Mr. Georgiadis continued his visit to the hospital and is expected to visit the Didymoteicho Hospital and the Orestiada Health Center.
